Posters got put up last Friday if you haven't seen them already. They're boring but we've got people designing some pretty ones. I just wanted to get posters up. We're trying to get as many new people as possible because our numbers have diminished significantly due to people graduating. So tell your friends.
Pumpkin Scissors and Black Butler have been thrown around as ideas for a monthly. So if you have any thoughts let us know. The tentative date for the first monthly is September 29th. It will run from noon until midnight. We're also considering sushi parties at monthlies because I (Chloe) learned how to make sushi.
We talked about Anime Detour a little bit. Gonna make and hand out questionnaires and stuff early so we can get registered early. We can take 10 people to Detour counting officers.
The club fair is September 5th which is a Wednesday. It's in the student center from 11:00-1:00 so you should stop by. We're gonna have rootbeer floats. It's also a great opportunity to talk to our officers/members and sign up for the newsletter which will give all of the important information about events and stuff. Or you can look at the posts on this blog.
Membership cards are gonna be $5 again this year. This helps fund food at events as well as allowing you to rent anime from the office provided you are a student. It will be explained more in depth at the first club meeting. There is also a higher chance that if you buy a membership card you'll actually get a physical card.
If you are a SMSU student we would love it if you became a member on SA link (Student Activities link). But only do this if you actually plan on being a member of the club. You should also join our facebook page. Cuz it's awesome and occasionally we use it and link awesome stuff. Or say things that are important.
